Some bad news we heard from JDS last week:
"It wasn't that he beat [Nogueira]," Dos Santos told SI.com via a translator. "It was that he talked a lot of trash after that fight, saying things that the Brazilian fans considered very disrespectful. I didn't really want to put myself in a situation that was going to be doing a public appearance with Frank where I knew we were going to be laughing and having a good time. Something like video games is just more of like a hangout scenario, and I thought it might be taken the wrong way by the Brazilian fans."

Frank's reaction was:
"I think it's just the Brazilians being nationalistic, and the fact of an American beating a Brazilian at jiu-jitsu, and one of the legends of jiu-jitsu at that. I think that's the part that stings. I guess I hadn't realized that the Brazilians were so nationalistic. I didn't realize it mattered so much that I beat Nogueira, a Brazilian, and I'm an American."

UFC champ Jon Jones accused of DWI, totaled the Bentley
“While the facts of this situation are still being gathered and situated,” Jones’ manager, Malki Kawa, said in a statement, “First Round Management fully supports Jon, and we are asking for fans and media to respect the privacy of Jon and his family during this time."
Light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones crashed his car into a pole when he was driving while intoxicated early Saturday in Binghamton, N.Y., law enforcement officials said.
He was charged with DWI after 5 a.m. ET, Binghamton police said. Jones was driving a 2012 Bentley that struck a telephone pole at the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Helen Street in Binghamton, said Sgt. Christopher Lason.
No other vehicles involved in the accident, said Lason, who declined to comment on whether there were passengers in the vehicle.
The Bentley's air bag deployed and Jones suffered a bloody nose, Lason said. The car was totaled, he said.
Jones was released after being issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date, the sheriff's department said. (Source)
Cormier on Bernett: A lot of his big wins are back before 2005
"No knock on Josh, but everybody that fought in that era is starting to slow down," Cormier said. "He was in the battles just as they were. So I think it's going to take a guy to bring it out of him, to show him that it is mileage, and time is starting to catch up to him. Maybe after the fight, people will say, 'He's slowing down. He's not what he used to be.' But guys don't slow down on their own. Somebody has to actually show them that the time has come, where it's starting to catch up, all the battles and all the wars."
"[Barnett] beat all those guys, but a lot of those big wins are back before 2005, so it's not like all these wins are recent," he said. "A lot of those wins are way back in the day, so Josh is a completely different fighter than he was.Back in the day, if a guy had a leg lock, he could be a world champion," Cormier said. "Well, the game's changed now, and it's advanced. All that stuff doesn't really pertain to me."

For sure I'll be walking out to the rocky song. It motivates me a lot so I agree with Christian. Back story: Dana White didn't want me to come out to that song and said it's overused. I told him 'Man, my hands shake when I hear that song'. When he heard how powerful it was for me, he told me I could keep it as my walkout song.
On what he thinks of Mir's chin:
Everybody's chin is their weak spot. If you land a shot on somebody's chin, they're down. Fight over. So yeah, that's where I'm going to try to hit him. And that's where I'm going to be hitting him.

Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, who reached the Grand Prix semi-final stage before losing to Cormier, also picked his old rival for the win, saying: “I think Cormier will win this fight and be the Grand Prix Champion. I was very surprised by him in our fight. I think he is too strong, too powerful in this fight. He punches very hard and his wrestling is very good. I think he will win inside the distance unless Josh Barnett gets this to the ground quickly.”
