“Whether it’s fighter safety or whatever it is, we always do the right thing. We come out with what I think is the best way to handle it, and believe me when I tell you we are going to (expletive) come down on this thing. We are gonna do it. Is it me running around and testing 375 fighters all over the world? No. You guys can talk all the (expletive) you want about that, it’s not going to happen, but we will figure something out. Maybe it’s WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency).”

Nick Diaz Sues Nevada Athletic Commission
"The suit is asking the court to immediately stay the summary suspension handed out to Diaz by the NSAC as well as to enjoin the NSAC from going ahead in any further disciplinary proceedings. Diaz's complaint also asks the court to declare his due process rights have been violated by the NSAC's failure to promptly convene a hearing to determine the merits of the disciplinary complaint against him."
Here is the story.
And the text itself:
"COMBS NOW, NICHOLAS DIAZ, and being first duly sworn, swears and deposes as follows;
12. I have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and am in full compliance with the registry laws for medical marijuana treatment in California.
13. As part of my general practice, I discontinue using medical marijuana eight (8) days before any fight. Consistent with this general practice, I discontinued use of medical marijuana eight (8) days before the February 4, 2012 contest in Nevada. I do not believe that this is a violation of the NSAC’s regulations.
23. On February 7, 2012, the UFC’s President publicly announced that Mr. Condit agreed to an immediate re-match against me.
24. It is my understanding that the winner of that re-match will be offered a contest against Georges St. Pierre, the current UFC Welterweight champion.
25. The summary suspension against me, made without any consideration of the merits of the Complaint, is the only reason I am aware of that a re-match against Mr. Condit has not been scheduled.
26. If the summary suspension is set aside, I would be prepared to compete against Mr. Condit or against any other opponent deemed suitable immediately."

Alistair Overeem License Request Denied; Can Re-Apply in December
So... I find this articles very interesting:
"Overeem said that on March 23 he injected one of them on March 23 after consulting with the physician via phone."
"The commission stuck to the basic principle of fighters being responsible for all chemicals in their bodies, but appeared to offer some sympathy toward Overeem's plight."
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/mma/story/2012-04-24/Overeem-denied-Nevada-license/54511898/1?csp=34sports
"The UFC 146 press conference participants were told they would be tested and needed to stick around for the testing. As soon as the presser was over, Overeem attempted to run out of the building before being stopped and told it was going to be treated as a positive test. His excuse was that he was going to an interview, then he changed the story to that he was going to speak to his attorney about his battery case and then changed again that he was avoiding being served by Golden Glory with papers."

"Believe me when I tell you that that title fight is my dream, my ultimate goal," Overeem said. "I have three other belts, Strikeforce, DREAM and K-1. This was going to be the crown of my career, which I'm giving up to take a couple steps back to get back on the horse, do the testing and prove myself, that I’m a clean fighter. And when that is established, get back on the horse and continue."

"Overeem was also given a vile that contained two more doses of the mixture."

Alistair Overeem: I am a clean fighter and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone.
Quick quote:
"I absolutely do not believe in, nor do I use performance-enhancing drugs. I am a clean fighter and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone.
Prior to the UFC 146 press conference in March, I aggravated an old rib injury on my left side. My doctor prescribed, and I accepted, an anti-inflammatory medication that was mixed with testosterone. I was completely unaware that testosterone was one of the ingredients in the medication. Although I was unaware, I do realize it is my job to know what I am putting into my body."

Nevada Commission’s Keith Kizer interview
Quick quote: "We were going to have Overeem tested anyway because of the condition from his 2011 license, but it got to the point where I found out [about the press conference]. So that was the first thing, when I found out, “Oh, there’s going to be a press conference. Oh, Overeem’s going to be there."

Alistair Overeem: April 24 will be the biggest fight of my life
"April 24 is going to be the biggest fight of my life, and may 26 is going to be an even bigger fight of my life. Two important fights is coming up. I'm feeling very common. I'm feeling very good. So, let's knock them dead."
Tyrone Spong: Don't ask me about Overeem's drug test result
"I know there are some issues now, but if the fight goes through I see him being champion. Don't ask me [about Overeem's drug test result]. I don't know, I don't wanna know, but he is training".
Fabricio Wedum: No one in MMA was surprised about Overeem's drug test result
“Actually, no one in MMA was surprised. I guess it’s impossible to get that big naturally”, the Brazilian told TATAME. “No one expected random test. I guess that’s what happened. I don’t know when he stops taking it.”
Jon Jones: I believe in some cases that people who abuse steroids have weakness in their hearts
- On Alistair Overeem and the performance-enhancing drug crisis in MMA:
"I’ve never seen anyone here at Jackson’s MMA participate in any type of steroid use. I don’t know anybody on our team that could possibly be taking steroids. And as far as Alistair Overeem, that’s really his problem. Steroids is unfortunately a part of all sports and he was just the one that got caught…It’s really not my world, I’ll compete against someone on steroids any day. I believe in some cases that people who abuse steroids have weakness in their hearts, you know, they don’t believe in working hard. I’m not against steroids, I think in some cases you need steroids, like if you’re an older gentlemen, or you have some type of illness or something like that, but when an athlete abuses it, I mean that’s their business."

Valentijn Overeem on Alistair's failed drug test
Alistair Overeem is scheduled to appear before the Nevada State Athletic Commission on April 24 in Las Vegas to explain a 14-to-1 testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratio – well over the 6-to-1 ratio allowed by the commission – that was revealed by a surprise pre-fight drug test for UFC 146 on March 27. Can TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) be the explanation?
"Because I know him so well that I think I should be aware of something like that," Valentijn Overeem, Alistair's older brother, told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "If that was the case, I think I would know. I would be surprised...There are different reasons why someone could have high testosterone. Taking steroids is one of them. Some people have natural testosterone at a high level anyway. I'm not saying my brother is one of those people, but there's more possibilities... let [the commission] do whatever they have to do, and we'll see the result in the end when things are final. I think it's a bit early to jump to conclusions."

Ben Askren and Dana White on random drug testing
Dana White made a statement about drug testing in MMA: "The reality of us doing all the [expletive] things that we’re doing, when we already have the gold standard in drug testing, and then trying to chase 375 guys all over the world to randomly test them too? It’s impossible."
Ben Askren does not agree with that.
